Ordering some savage stuff today and i don't have a temp gauge so i was looking at the different ones. What do you think of a venom on-board gauge? Should i get an infrared one or onboard? Onboard seems like it would be easier and better because it would keep track of the highs and lows while its speeding around.

Is Venom a good brand or should i look for another brand?

Thanks

i would stick with the infrared one. i have the duratrax flashpoint i got it for 15 off ebay it works great. its a whole lot easier tuning and readjusting your engine.

I have both of those gauges and I see a difference of about 20 degrees F between the 2(onboard reading higher). I tend to thing the duratrax one is a bit more accurate but I also like the onboard one because it gives you max and min temp reading as your running which is helpful.

i use an ofna hand held for all my cars, and my XB8 has an onboard as well. i found the 2 to be reading within 3* of each other. depending on how you mount the venom it can affect its reading.
