i am using a 20% nitro with synthetic. On the race track, when i finished 2 circuits i found the temp of the engine at 290f. The outside temp was about 92f, and the humidity was 85%. lot of blue smoke at full throttle.
When i richened up the high speed needle, but the temp was at 280f after one circuit.
the hight end is so rich that the my savage does not shift to second gear.
what could be the problem.
is it the glow plug, or fuel or outside temp?
thanks i advance for the help.

Is the track that you are running on very tight and techinical? If the track has a lot of low speed sections and not much high speed area it is possible that the high temps are due to a Low Speed Needle setting. Even if your HSN is richer it may not help the overall temp if the engine doesn't see much of the upper range? Have you tried the pinch test to see how that setting is?
