i am running the stock motor with motor saver filter and a upgraded pipe with a 16t clutch bell. it does great when rolling and you punch it but at a dead stop it bogs a little top end is great to.
also is any one running the stock bell and pads with the hyper 8 port and how do they work?

i am going to try the 14t bell again on the stock motor again and see if that helps the bogging if so then i guess i answered my own question

I'm running a Hyper 8p with the stock shoes, they seem to hold up better than the Hot Bodies shoes. I've run about 4 tanks with the stock shoes and the Hyper and no signs of wear. I'm planning on getting a 3 shoes set-up soon though.

I have the Hyper 8 port with stock shoes and a RD Logics pipe. My hot bodies clutch couldn't hold up. Besides, the springs are so stiff it takes a while to install it. I'm waiting for my stock clutch to go out. I have a couple of friends who have the 8 port and ran their stock clutches out. So I'm thinking of going with the mip 7.5 or aluminum clutch shoes.

i have a 8 port Race engine, mugen 3 shoe, 16t ofna cb, duratraxx pipe, duel tank mod (aka heli tank to feed carb), motor saver air filter..

also i ran a 16t bell on my 21bb, caused a overheating issue for me..

I have the Picco .26, Mugen 3 shoe clutch, Mugen flywheel, OFNA 16 T clutchbell, motorsaver air filter, and RD Logics one piece pipe.

so does that 16 t bell on the 8 port with stock clutches have a lot of punch? i want to do weelies

Unless your tuning gets you wheelies with the stock gearing, you will need to get either a larger clutch bell (17T or 18T) or a smaller spur gear. Either way when you set up for wheelies and low end type stunts, you lose top speed.

Something you can do to help in the wheelie department (besides tying a brick to the back of the truck) is to set the suspension up for wheelies. What do I mean? Well, make the front end stiff (using your preload spacers and some heavier oil in the cylinder) and make rear soft (less preload and lighter oil). This will allow the truck to squat a lot more when you jam on the gas. This in turn helps get the front wheels up). The basic premise is that when the truck squats, the center of gravity shifts towards the back of the truck allowing the rear wheels to push the back of the truck up under the front. Voila a wheelie.

Let us know how it goes.

I'm running a picco .26 mugen 3 shoe clutch, ofen 18th cb,rb efra-9863 pipe, big joes. its fast, it will pull 2nd gear all the way over on its lid in grass and top speed is way faster than my 8 port. its warth the money to do this to any savage
