Tell me what pipe and fiter to get for my 2.5 tmaxx please. thanks. also a good place to buy them online, I know tower hobbies has most stuff.

Do I hear that you're keeping the stock engine? The first and only thing I bought for the stock engine was a better cooling head. (Only because I stripped the glow plug threads on the old one.)

I bought a new pipe when I bought a new engine.

I will upgrade engines when mine blows up. I need to know what pipe and stuff is best and maybe even a cooling head.

If you do a search on this forum for Sirio 18 you'll get a bunch of hits. This one references a pipe for that engine. The Sirio 18TX was a popular replacement a little while ago.

For some reason that engine's discontinued on Tower. I'm thinkin' it's the package and not the engine.

I bought this OS engine to make a spare Maxx outta all my spare parts I replaced on the first one. I plan to use the stock pipe for now but if I run across a better one I'll let you know.

hey bud ,i am running a stock trx 2.5 on my maxx ,i installed a motorsaver airfilter ,and installed the traxxas blue tuned pipe and get a decent aftermarket head ,acnmc think thats the name if the company but they make excellent heads for the trx ,i installed a MSJ fridge head on mine and tell ya what
i ranner today for about 3 tanks and this thing is insane ,wheelies on demand ,grass hard dirt blacktop ,wheelie city ,
hope thats sheds alitle lite for ya ,,
once mine goes yeah i am going to the OS ,18 or going big block ,,

tower hobbies is a good place for parts
on ebay check out rcboyz they have excellent prices for stuff also and shipping it cheap ,

I think that the THS Racing exhaust header/pipe setup is sick! It sounds nice and gives some more power. For an air filter... Motor saver is obvious and a great option part. As for a cooling head, i would highly reccomend the ACNCM Giant head... i think it is around $29 shipped on ebay. You can find the exhaust and filter on Tower.
