This happened to RC Knockout in his Maxx:
Also don’t use the stock chargers, those things are usually 💩. Most of the time they don’t even have a storage charge/discharge function, like the ones that come with Team Associated RTRs.
Yea I watch rc knockout. I got rid of my Traxxas charger about 5 months ago since It didn't work anymore. Had it for 6 years. Only used it for like 2 years. At least with my new SkyRC j can view IRs and charge more than 4 amps. And I can use any connector I want.

Wow… I almost got Traxxas batteries and chargers. Now I know to steer clear…

That appears to me to be an ESC fire and not a battery fire. Especially since the battery was not burning when he took it out of the car.
Lucky he had sand around though to put it out.
