got a 4910 maxx with black tranny. when i give it gas from a dead stop it will rev then like jump into gear its like the tranny isnt going into 1st gear or something clutch on motor is fine but spur never stops spinning

You have reverse, that’s normal for that transmission with reverse. It’s called bucking and the only way to completely prevent it is the forward only conversion, or the no buck mod.
As for the spur spinning at idle, the idle speed is too high and/or the clutch spring is too weak. It’s not uncommon for the spur to spin at idle with that transmission and reverse but with a good tune and idle speed it shouldn’t.

I'm thinking my clutch spring is most likely weak its spinning way to fast and my idle prob is a little high i just got it running right but havnt tuned it out yet but yea the bucking is what i dont like seems like it would ruin my drivetrain overtime, ill be putting my foc in tonight and see how that works this weekend i dont get home till its dark everyday

Yep, 4994X is all you need except for a little elbow grease.

Check or replace your clutch bell bearings, if bad or dry they will also cause the spur to spin.
