RC Newbie
I bolted up a new 3.3 last night. Started right up and ran it fo maybe 10 seconds total before I shut it off for the night. Went to break it in this morning. Engine would crank for 3 seconds then lock up. If I waited 10 seconds it would crank for 3 seconds again then stop.
It cranked fine with the plug out and the glow plug was lighting up. It felt like I had a lot of compression so I loosed the glow plug 1/8 of a turn and tried again with no results.
I tried heating it up with a hair dryer to try to free-up the new engine.
I called traxxas support and they said the piston gets piched at the top of the sleeve sometimes on new engines, and to hold it upside down and crank it with the plug out for 30 seconds then let it cool for 20 and to repeat that four times. I did it twice and now the engine won't even crank and the motor light on the EZstart won't light up.
I charged the battery then hoping it was that.
Just did the third and four set of holding it upside down and cranking on the new battery. Battery starteed getting slow but I still hooked up the plug and tryed to start it. I got two short REV bursts then the battery died. It wanted to crank but the battery didn't have enought power.
Charge #2
Any ideas or do you guys think it could just be my battery?
