I have a question, I have the TMaxx 2.5R and the electric start is doing something weird. When i turn the motor over it will turn over for 2 secs then it will stop turning over but it will still make a sound but it wont turn it over. Like there is a gear striped or something. Any help will be great. thanks

If I spin the bearing and it locks like it should is the bearng still bad? I still cleaned it up but it seems to be working fine to me. Does anyone else have any ideas what it might be?

well if you pull the ez start apart and there arent any messed up or stripped gears it pretty much has to be the bearing. i had one go bad and everytime i pulled it apart and checked it by hand it locked .... put it back together and it worked barely and only once in a while...... if the ez start gears are good and the electric motor spins then id bet it was the bearing.

also when you cleaned it did you use denatured alcohol and then lube the bearing in motor oil? i was told thats the proper way to maintain them

I did not lube the bearing, but i will. I put the ez-start back on and it worked fine. Therre was just ALOT of dirt in it. Thanks for the advice. Is the best place to get spider gears for the rear diff. from tower hobbies?
