Okay guys I have never had this happen before. I have a Maxx truck 2.5 #4910 truck. It's all stock and pretty much new. I need some help figuring out this trans issue. The trans will not let the engine idle. Like the trans binds up. The spur spin fine one way but has pressure against it on the other direction. It still has the reverse installed. It is not my truck or I would just through in a FOC but he wants the reverse.:D This is the first time I have seen this happen with a trans. And no its not the spur mesh it does this even with the trans off the truck.

maybe the brake is sticking,if not open it up and see whats up i heard of them sticking in between forward and reverse before.I also know that that trans will not work if the idle is to low talk your buddy to get rid of that reverse not worth the trouble

I thought of your problem and i think i know what it is its your clutch with the engine idling your pinion gear shoud not be moving if it is your clutch is sticking

Nope. Just got it fixed. The main gear set that hold the shift point adjustment came loose. The set screw backed out and lodged itself in the bearing and gear housing foo bard the spring and bearing. I had extra parts just finished getting it back together. Ole Nitrochan is hard on T maxx trans. Thats whos truck I am working on. He is a new member here on the forum.:D
