Greetings...I have 5 t-maxx's and need to repair one of them. It is a 2.5 4wd and one of my sons drove it full speed into a tree. My question, I have a Spektrum Dx3r with a SR3100 receiver and want to convert the maxx to 2.4ghz. I can only imagine that it wont be as easy as just plugging in the receiver and binding. I also need to figure out how if possible to assign a switch on the Spektrum tx to go from forward to reverse. Suggestions and ideas are appreciated.

It IS that easy. Just install the new rx into the maxx, bind it to your DX3R and then setup your epa's and any other adjustments you need.

Setting up your third channel is easy but i can't remember the steps off the top of my head. Check the manual for the proper procedure and make sure you set up your epa on that as well.

Thanks for the help. I can already envision getting rid of sooooo many tx's and adding a couple more DX3R's to handle all my needs. Happy RCing to all.......

Unless you need a 3 position 3rd channel, check out the 3s. Check my spektrum radio thread in general chat

I read about those back some time ago. If I remember correctly, they were under $100 but there was something I did not care for??? I think it was the total model memory which was not much??

Edit that thought, it was a DX3E with one rx and one model memory for $99
