I have my t-maxx running about 250-260F but when I go to shut by the pinch test it revs way up and then starts jerking and then shuts off it doesn't cat walk and it bogs off take off. Should I reset all the needles to factory and re-tune, or what should I do. I am about ready to pull my hair out.

sounds like you need to lean out the HSN a little, try by 1/8 or 1/4 turns at a time and see how it goes

same here, just remember it doesn't take much of a turn at all to fix it or mess it up, just be sure to do very small adjustments since ur so close to haveing it dialed perfect. good luck.

Wouldn't leaning it make it run hotter, and today it was only about 70 degrees farenhiet out and I reset all the needles and it was running 310 degrees so I richened up the hsn and it went down to mabye 290 but it would bog horrible. So then I richened up the lsn and it stayed the same, this thing is really pissing me off. I am going to call my local hs and see what the nitro tech. has to say, I think I am going to have them tune for me but I will watch to see what they do.

Oh sorry wrote that when I was tired, its running 280-290 degrees farenhiet. Sometimes in the 300 range.

Okay I called my lhs and they said richen up the hsn so I did I kept getting weird temps so what I am going to do is buy a failsafe or a temp. probe but thats what I was wondering should I get traxxas or venom I would like to be able to measure to gp temp. not the cooling fins. What I am saying is I would like to measure the temp. at the gp because that is what my manual says to do. Please help THANKS.

Where do those two measure though I need one that measures the tempurature at the gp.

you could try the odonnells temp gun. it has a cone which directs the reading at the glo plug i've been using it a few months and i think its a good product and also has a stopwatch for timing laps or checking how long u get from a tank of fuel

I use my friends temp gun that he got from the cummins tools place around here, it has a laser on it to aim at the gp. I tested my os21tm the other day and was running 250 (tmaxx), his 3.3 was running 230 (jato)

I'm using a hpi temp reader and it seams to work great, made tuning a breeze and almost fun lol.

Well i finally got my t-maxx to my lhs and I had an air leak whoo I thought my brand new motor was gone now time to rip on since I am going to my families cabin for week did you see gas for these its $40 now. How do the talon tires work in the sand because I bought a set off ebay for $25 out the door and they are like new.
