T-maxx shuttering

My t-maxx shutters and jumps when i give it throttle but lets off after i give it constant speed. please help me what could be the problem my friend says that that is just what a t maxx does, i have an o.s. 18 C-VR engine with stock gearing. Please help!!!

Your friend is right, tmaxxes were notorious for doing that. It's the reverse clutches inside the tranny. Do a forward only conversion and that will go away, plus it will take off much better.

i put the forward only in mine and it does not jump like that and it is faster than my buddies less drag and less rotating mass

I'm not the greatest speller but its spelled ---> IDLE not Idel :

My old pro .15 tmax did the same stuff. I put a OS .21tm and fixed that problem

It's not spelling thats the problem, it's the chat slang that is. We have members worldwide, and to them that looks like complete gibberish, hell to me too. It does not take that much longer to actually type a real word, even if it is spelled wrong, it's better than that text message crap.

do you have to buy a foc tranny, or can you put in forward olnly by manipulating stock tranny.
