right hi every 1 i have a tmaxx 2.5 with out easy start it has a easy start on it 30% fuel new glow plug
1 min it will start strait up and another it will just turn over and over with out firing but when it goes u can set it up from factor settings and get it running well but when u back off the throtle it cuts out iv tryed swapping the carb off another 1 and fuel tank that run perfect but makes no difference 2 mine
it has about the same compresion as the 1 i took the bits from
also i have a friend that is having the same problem with his
its starting 2 do my head in do i need a new engine
help

when you put the "other" carb on, did ya seal it up good? Sounds like ya may have an air leak somewhere.
 
ye put new seals on it then 2 be shore its just doing my head in lol
 
If its got good compression, I wouldn't bother buying a new one. I'm sure someone will fly by here with a few more answers than what I can give ya. Good luck.
 
Seal the backplate, carb throat and header with copper, sensor-safe, high-temp RTV for starters. Make sure the fuel system is air tight(fuel lines and tank cap). Also check the hsn housing for leaks. Seal the needles with green slime or Vaseline. It's vital for a nitro engine to be completely sealed up to run properly.
 
stripped it right down and think it needs new piston and sleeve as the piston comes out the sleeve by about 3mm
 
Yeah, if you can push the piston out the top of the cylinder - regardless of whether it's 1mm, 2mm, or 3mm - it's time for a rebuild.
