I just got done fixing my tmaxx after it had been sitting for 2 years. I dropped in a new 3.3, big joe tires and bigger wheels. RD logics pipe. I have a problem though.

I went out to try to break it in. And when i pull the throttle the truck moves fine. BUt once i got to the 3rd tank the and was giving it more throttle the truck would stay at that throttle like and just keep hualin ass. The only way to stop it is to get in front of it adn force it to stop.

Also the brakes work liek crap. Do i need to move to a more powerful servo cause of the wheels. at half throttle it will take it move a minute to stop after applying brakes.

couple things.. truck couldnt be tuned right.. linkage (id check this first) could be off.. or you could need a differetn set of crystals

If it's running pretty good, forward, tuning is not the issue. Since it's been sitting so long, there are lots of things that have stiffened up. Check and lube the linkage for the carb and brake, and also remove the linkage and see if the carb itself is sticking.
It just sounds like the linkage won't return to idle, and that's also the reason the brakes aren't working. They work together with the same servo and linkages.
Don't start the engine till the throttle returns 100% of the time. It it gets away from you, that could be the end of it.

I have to check the linkage. the carb is new as well so it is not the carb......maybe the linkage.......where do I get more powerful servo cause my steering is kinda weak

Also if your using plain old batteries, you might want to try upgrading to a hump pack or something of this nature. I noticed a big differnce when I did so to my maxx as far as runtimes and power.
