t-maxx recever wont work

i bought a new reciever off ebay for 10 bucks it came in the traxxas package. My batteries are all new and the wires only have a minor break in them i would upload some pics but I dont know how. nothing on the truck moves right now if anyone would like to give info. it would be great.

What is a "minor" break and where is it? From your statement above one can only conclude that your receiver battery has a bad wiring harness.

its just about a millimeter long and i know i can't spell but my harness is a little coroded and i ordered a new one so I'm waiting ill let you know wat happens

alright i cleaned the connections in my battery box and the wires are putting out volts i tested the break in the wires. The reciever i got though gets really hot whenever i try to put power to it wats happening????
