I have a T Maxx 3.3 that I bought in '08 I have been bashing it hard! I'm on my second 3.3 first one threw a rod and put holes in the crank case:( this was last spring. I put a new 3.3 in then the clutch broke for the 15th time dam traxxas clutch then moved to integy 3 shoe same thing happened then I blew a diff. so in june so I packed my T maxx up for the rest of the summer drove my jato;) But now since my snowmobile season draws to an end I decided to rebuild the beast.:p: I am a very experienced nitro rc'er I own 5:D but I was just wondering any ideas on modds that could be done to the T Maxx or hear what some of you have done to your trucks. Thanks-Jimi:)

Here's my very first TMaxx (1st edition) after quite a few changes throughout the years... lol It was converted to run a .21 or larger...
Couldn't bring myself to ever sell it.. This truck has taken a serious beating through its lifetime..:)

Imbrokens maxx is one seriously bad ass T-Maxx. I have seen it in person on several occasions, and it is a beast!

Jimi, the list of mods for a maxx is endless, one good thing is since a lot of guys have parted ways with their maxxes you can find a lot of good deals on parts for them. I still have my original maxx too, but it doesn't have many original parts on it anymore. Lets see some pics of yours.

A good rule of thumb when it comes to Maxx's, or any off road rc, is aluminum in the middle(bulkheads, diff cases, chassis rails) and rpm for the arms and carriers. You want to avoid aluminum skids for obvious reasons. Spring steel works well for skids but I can't think of a manufacturer at the moment. This thread should light up with ideas. Start a build thread when you start your build. We all love em around here.

So I'm the retard that put a .21 on a tmaxx chassis....a stock chassis at that...and it was a 2.5 chassis.....hey it worked until i came up on a deal on here and got the dynamite big block chassis.....and I'm runnin a .26 well gettin it all put back together....ya know waitin on shippin and you guys know how that is......but yeah i got the whole kitchen table took up lol been like that for a couple weeks now and shes startin to get irritated.hahaha so i just went and bought her.....her 600 dollar dslr camera....so itll shut her up for a while and i just tried to upload pics but uhhh my computers bein retarted owell

I got to much to list i upgraded to a sh .28 big block conversion from hardcore racing stock arms upgrading once i get a job ... Mgt aftermarket pipe ... Futaba servos fly sky radio ... Badlands ... 17mm hexes ... Throttle mod ... Rear cvd ... Upgraded black springs ... Too much to list ... It looks sick its on the front of my website http://radiocontrolrevenge.com

Not the best pictures:angry:.... wasn't kidding when i said it was in pieces can kinda see a little nitrorustler in one picture:hehe:

Picked up some integy shocks from the lhs. I might order an hpi body in the next week or two

Note on the integy shocks. I got some piggy backs about 2 months ago. They started leaking after about 2 hours of run time. Thought they needed a rebuild. Everything was fine. But I did add another o ring to the pack where the shaft goes in. With the added thickness, it expanded the o rings and stopped the leaks. Just an idea.

great assembly make a good 3 shoe aluminum clutch. and as for the diffs it depends on what broke but rrp gears or modified rrp gears and aluminum cups would make for some stout diffs.

where did you get body and who painted it ?
NCnitro one of our Mods here on RCNT painted it. He is one of the best we have on the site.

Also I did use aluminum skids on mine with RPM overlay...but the skids are reinforced a bit with high tensile stainless steel tube.
