I am new to this and was wonderin what modifications can be done to get some more power out of my pro .15 without upgrading the motor? I was going to get the Tuned Pipe traxxas part # 4942 but is there anything else I could do? I am going to start going to the track to mess around and I don't want to breaking any suspension either. Any suggestions on suspension upgrades, skid plates etc?

Thanks

Traxxas big bore shocks, full RPM arm set, full RPM skid set, steering servo guard. problem solved!!

RPM stuff

Should I get aluminum or nylon and will I need to modify the chassis at all for the skid plates?

Thanks

If you are headed for the track, stay away from alum. makes your rig heavy and the stuff bends and will actually transfer energy and damage other components in a crash senario. RPM composite parts are indestructible, look awesome and will keep your rig light and fast. There are a lot of shock options, but i have found on maxx trucks, the Traxxas big bores work awesome and will take a beating. as far as performance, a pipe will always help but keep her tuned well and invest in a good motorsaver air filter to keep her clean and run the piss out of her!!

also the RPM skids are a direct replacement with no mods required.

I am having difficulties finding the non wide maxx rpm arms all I can find is purple or Wide maxx stuff. What is a steering servo guard?

servo guard is a cage like item that mounts over your steering servo that hangs under the chassis. protects servo from rocks and debris that could otherwise damage it because of its location.

rpm no longer makes the original short arms so u will have to convert to the wider 2.5/3.3 arms. This will help quite a bit at the track. I did the same thing to my original tmaxx. The only other thing u will need is the longer 2.5 turnbuckles.

Drop two teeth on the clutch bell, or drop one on the clutch bell and add three to the spur. This will make a big difference in acceleration. If yours has reverse, a forward only conversion is the best low-buck mod you can do to a Maxx. The pro .15 is just too small for a mt, so you'll only get so much out of it. A good pipe and lower gears is about all you can do for it. Run good fuel like Byrons or Trinity.
