yep thats a maxx alright.. i saw on ebay the other day they (smartech) now has a 1/8th scale buggy out with a clamed top speed of over 80mph lol it will prolly asplode at 65!!

Yea those Smartech T-Maxx clones have been around for awhile, you can usually find them NIB on Ebay for around $180-200 USD.

I havent seen a Smartech in person (only photos) so I can't comment on the quality.

I have read about those too, They look like a Maxx but what I've read none of the parts are interchangable and they are much weaker than a Maxx scary thought lmao!

yea, they are a lot alike yet they have been around for a while now...

Actually I would say about 90% of the parts can be replaced with stock traxxas components. The ol' magic wheel isn't much to brag about.....but hey it burns nitro....can't be all bad. Young guy at the track is running one....kid can drive....equipment/general R/C knowledge is definately holding him back.....but it fit his budget and he's having a blast.

Mr T

Thats cool, I thought I had read somewhere that the parts wouldnt work, for the price guess you can't go wrong

The body they show looks a lot like the ProLine Chevy P/U body I picked up back awhile ago.

we should make a video and compare the two.. get a real r/c and the smartech knockoff of said r/c and bash the hell outa them and see which one does better!! then make a anti smartech websight lol

Traxxas probably sold them the rights, or parts to copy it since I'm shure they would rather push the Revo these days.

i think after I'm through with my rc10gt, Ill try my luck with one of those...

I wouldnt piss my money away with one of those... Its probably slower than the Pro .15 maxx, and that thing is slow...

Don't get a maxx unless you have alot of money to fix it.

Or watch ebay daily for good deals on parts lol, For the most part that is what I have done, That and checking the for sale forum here. If I had went to my Lhs to get parts I would have spent enough to go buy a new one by now hehe, or mabe two of these Majic wheels
