Thanks for the tip on the bulkheads Mr T, I will defiently use locktite, I just have to wait to get them, the person I bought them from on ebay sent me the wrong parts lol so got that figured out what a mess, but accidents happen :)

I wouldnt use a lot of loctite, because if you use too much, you will never get your screws out, especially if you crank them down good!

ok, jesse
i ran my maxx today after tearing out the reverse and installing my new shocks and pipe ,didnt change a thing tuning wise ,just feuled it up and fired'er up .loped around alittle to warm it up ,idle temps 180 to 190 ..and running temos 225 to 230
before it ran 260 to 280
all i changed from before was i installed the traxxas blue pipe and started running top fuel again ,OMG what a difference ,
it was wet out from recent rain and was still pulling wheelies
never had so much fun till mother nature said not today and started to down pour lol

just wanted to let ya all in on a little fun

I can't believe how big of a difference it made with my maxx. I even twisted both rear axle shafts!!!! I never thought that changing fuel could makes such a huge difference.
I can't wait to get my Maxx all back together and take it out and have some more fun with it. By the way I seen your shocks on ebay this morning right after you listed them good luck on that talk to ya later.

Hmm, I tried to skim thru the thread but I couldnt find what fuel you used to run on. Personally, Top Fuel runs like crap if it even wants to run thru my engines. Half the time it wont even fire up, so I swapped to Sidewinder, major improvements. What % nitro u using?

Hey TMaxximum we are talking about Top Fuel lol and I'm using 20% It works great for me

i personally was using S&W 20% with 18% oil ,
it is made by a guy here in pa and he does sell it by bulk if you need it ,dont get me wrong it is good fuel but i found the top fuel runs better thru my trx 2.5
and i am now running 20% top fuel .i ran it before but my LHS didnt carry it and didnt feel like running 14 or 40 miles just to get it ,when the S&W was within 2 miles and only cost 20 bucks a gallon

My lhs doesn't carry many different brands, but luckly for me they have Top Fuel, Its about the only thing I buy from them unless its a cheap part that I need to keep my Maxx running they are way exspensive on everything!

right now mine only carries the S&W ,wildcat and duratrax ,i will travel the extra distance to get it ,but i iwll make it worth thetrip and get more then 1 gallon ..lol
TMaxximum some motors dont like certian fuels might be the oil content might be the nitro or methenal ,who knows bud but all i know is mine had a excellent performance using top fuel

I need to get a temp gun I've just been doing the spit on head method lol My father in law has one I think I'm going to borrow once I get my Maxx all fixed from My last run lol
