Hey

I was wondering what things i can do to my truck to make it have more low end torque and a higher top speed i have everything stock right now but i dont have a limited budget. I really dont want to change the engine so is therre and thing i can do to the spur gear or to the gear coming off the motor to make it have some torque and some high speeds. i am willing to change the gears in the tranny but i still want the reverse it pretty useful. I was looking at golden horizon gears but i havnt herd anything about them so i didn't know. any other info you feel is needed tell me please.

You change the spur gear or clutch bell to get more speed or torque. You can't have both more speed and more torque, because it just doesn't work that way unless you upgrade the engine. To get more speed you can get a smaller spur gear or a bigger clutch bell. To get more torque, you get a smaller clutch bell or a bigger spur gear.

There is a way to achive what you want to do. But it will take a considerable amont of custom fabricating. If you would like info on it let me know.

Well first off you will need a new chassis plate, for the stuff to be put on the truck. A 4 or 5 channel radio, Emaxx tranny, Savage reverse module, 2 speed gears from 4-tec or out of the Maxx tranny (they are the same), and whetever engine you wanna run. Put it all together and you will have basicly a slectable 2 speed , hi and low speed with reverse setup. So you can have low end torque and a high top end. Ohh And yes I am working on building on of these.
