T maxx gearing?

I got a t maxx 3.3 given to me by a buddy cause he was tired of fooling with it and the spur gear and cb are smoked. I have a bunch of revo extra parts and was wondering will a 38 tooth spur and 15 tooth cb work on a t maxx? I know there usually like 72 tooth spur and 16 cb from my past experience with t maxx's. I'm just wondering will those gears work or will it screw up something I'm just trying to use extra parts I have instead of having to go out and buy more parts that I have tons of.

If the truck has the grey transmission the revo spurs will fit the slipper clutch. Just be sure to use the mod 1 revo clutch bell with the revo spur and if you have enough room to set the mesh you are good to go.
If you can not move the clutch bell close enough to the spur you can elongate the slots in the chassis for the engine mount to gain a little more.

I have done it many times in the past but don’t remember atm how far you can go with the gearing before you have to mod the chassis slots.
