I was out driving the maxx out in the parking lot and i slammed on brakes spun around an as i hit the throttle again it pulled a wheelie all in one sweet motion i might add lol and i heard a click. But now when hit the throttle the engine just revs up in both forward and reverse. Its a t-maxx 2.5R stock besides wheels an tires. If anyone has any idea what it could be please help. I need the experience.

Probably a stripped gear by the sounds of it. I would start by checking the spur gear, since it is the easiest one to look at.

I pulled the tranny out and took it apart. Come to find out it was the screw pin on the primary output shaft that snapped. Also found out that my friction pegs on my spur gear were worn slap down flush to the gear so i need to replace those as well. thanks guys

the pegs sit flush with the spur gear. Has the spur gear got a groove in where the metal plate sits against, it's best to replace the spur gear and pegs at same time. It's only a small extra cost.

The tolerance is very close (approx 1mm total / .5mm per side) but the friction pegs shouldn’t be flush with the spur. When the friction pegs are in good condition the metal friction plates should not touch the spur.

Yeah the plates were touching the gear too ima go ahead an put in new friction pegs. And does it make it perform any better if i put in more pegs than the original amount?

I'm not sure if its my engine or what but ill run the first tank fine and then on the second and third tanks it runs like crap it wont hold my tune it justs goes up and down on the hsn i can't keep a steady tune all day. I'm constantly tuning it and its rather frustrating. if any of you guys have any ideas on what it could be let me know please. thanks

It sounds like you have an air leak or your tune is way off, test for air leaks and start at factory setting and retune. It sounds like you have this problem after the eng gets hot, its possible an air leak occurs after you run it at operating temperature .

Well i have pulled the engine and sealed it with the ultra copper. I heard about swapping out the carb with a ofna brand cuz the traxxas ones are junk cuz they tend to leak. I haven't had the chance to check the carb for leaks yet. I will tomorrow and let you guys know what happens
