my neighbor bought a t-maxx 2.5r years back it was never tuned properly and never had any maintenance on it, as you can guess it died, its been sitting in his attic for about 5 years, we live in michigan so the weather is very hot or very cold, so in the summer its hot and humid and in the winter its very cold up in the attic. how much you think its worth? and is it compatible with the new 4907 tmaxx 3.3, id like to buy it for temporary spare parts, everything worked on it when he put it away, except the engine thats shot for sure.
should i buy it for parts?:\

I'm pretty sure most of the parts(tranny, axels, diffs, servos, body and mabe a arms) are not compatible with a 4907 tmaxx, I think most of the stuff changed with the 3.3 and then on the 4908 ( same as 4907 minus the 2.4ghz stuff ).

you could buy it and swap out the shot 2.5 for another 2.5 or a 3.3 with the traxxas engine replacement program.. i think i paid 130 bucks to replace a 2.5 with a 3.3

Even if you do what steel city says, which is an economical way to go, you may need a radio system, servos, any number of parts for it. Plus it will have the old driveline that is a bit weak, even with a 2.5. All I'm saying is you'll eventually be wishing you'd gotten the 4907. IMO, not worth buying and fixing, not worth buying for parts.
