T-Maxx 4909 with a 4808 extended chassis

Hi, I would like to use one of the new extended chassis from a new t-maxx 4908 on my older t-maxx 3.3 since they can be had on e-bay for about 10 bucks. I know that I will also need to change the chassis braces. Does any one know what the best solution for the center drive shafts is? I think that the newer t-maxx uses the revo setup, (with the larger diameter output shaft on the trans), I would like to keep my current trans with reverse. Any idea's? Thanks

Well, go ahead and start looking at the product on ebay and just buy the whole setup from the newer one for like forty bucks. Jmo

Thanks for the reply, I would just use the drive shafts from the 4908, but the output shaft on the 4908 transmission is larger (ie revo) than the transmission on my 4909, plus I would like to keep my reverse. Any other ideas on what drive shafts might fit with the original transmission and the new chassis?

Idk alot about the driveshaft difference. but.... if there bigger around you shouldnt have any problems unless there to short. then just replace those and the housings. I did on my maxx and got steel dogbones

You might check out some MIP center CVD'S for the new version of 3.3

Thanks every one for your replies, looks like the MIP CVD's are the way to go. I can use the new set made for the T-Maxx 4908 and just replace the transmission CVD outdrives with the ones designed for the T-Maxx 4909. Tower has the outdrives for about 9 bucks. If it works I will post some pics after the project is complete.
