I have the T-maxx 3.3 and was wondering if rpm a arms are better to go with then aluminum ones just cuz they are lighter or what? also I had my connecting rod go out on my the other day and I replaced it. Should I have replaced the piston and sleeve as well?

Dont know about the piston and sleeve, but you will be way better off with RPM than aluminum, cause it wont bend. Once the aluminum a arms bend you are out a whole wack of money, RPM will just flex, it wont break on you. RPM is much cheaper too.

I just replaced a c-rod in a motor yesterday or the day before.......... hugh either way and it has ran great... I think the c-rod is alittle to weak considering I only had maybe 2 gallons if that on each motor..... congrats on jumping in and doing a rebuild though.. I hear alot of people are to timmid to mess with the motor...(not saying thats a bad thing)
and for thepiston and sleeve I think that would be determined on the shape of them if they are chewd up or in good condition.

RPM is definitely a much better way to go than aluminum for a-arms.
99% chance if you broke a c-rod, you scratched the sleeve. Look at it closely, if the sleeve and or piston is scratched you will need to replace them. You will also want to completely disassemble the entire engine making sure there is not even the tiniest piece of metal or shavings anywhere inside or it will destroy the engine.

I washed with liquids and blew it out I have a touch of o.c.d. when it comes to cleaning and inspecting stuff I can normaly point something out before most people I have dealt with I look at it through out.. But definetly good advice I forgot to add that part and I apologize for that I should of coverd that thanks NCNITRO..

Yeah the c-rod in the 3.3 must not be very strong at all cuz I bought my T-maxx straight out of the box and I'm barely on my 3 gallon of gas. Not sure if that is a lot of running time or what, but u wouldn't think it would break that soon. But then again I have no idea about that. Does anyone know if masher tires with the big bead lock rims would prevent my Maxx from doing wheelies?

the con-rod in the 3.3 is the one originally used in the 2.5 so it isnt strong enough for the 3.3... i went through 3 conrods b4 i figured that out... finally someone suggested i use a davis diesel conrod for the 3.3... i have 2 gallons through it and its holding up just fine
