t-maxx 3.3 upgrade

The added torque will wreak havok on a 2.5 maxx. You will probably start twisting the stock slider shafts and breaking gears in short order. They beefed up the drivetrain in the 3.3 maxx for a reason.
 
everybody told me the same thing and i ran the hell outta my pro.15 with the 3.3 mill on it and nothing went wrong after about three monthes i twisted one driveshaft but it never broke
 
Well I'm sure the tune makes a big difference as to how much stuff you're going to break, but if you tune for performance I would suggest buying a 3.3 tranny to go with the engine. They beefed them up to handle the extra power for those trucks. The 2.5 is black and the 3.3 is gray.
 
the pro .15 tranny held up great to my 3.3 and i run it at 240-250 all day long thats pretty performanced tuned i would think not one problem till i spooled the rear end then i snapped the driveshaft
