hey guys i have a t-maxx 3.3 that i put a new 3.3 in and iv would like to know what the best method to break it in. keep in mind its like 25 degrees out..do i have to wait till this spring also? thanks, devin.

important: do you have a temp gauge, some way to monitor the head temp. if it doesn't reach 210 or so then the piston and sleeve will not seat properly. if its running under the recomended temp just wrap the head with a paper towel to keep the heat in. i broke my 3.3 in when it was about 30 out and its been fine since. i just couldnt wait till spring. this 3.3 rips...........

wait till it gets warmer is your best bet i also have a new 3.3 but I'm waiting till spring time to be on the safe side you wanna keep your engine warm if you do decide to break it in you can put a sock over top of it or wrap the head with foil good luck on:)

thanks for the quick replys, what process for break in would you guys recommend, step by step would be help full as I'm new to this and don't want to wreck the motor.

and if you do it in cold weather ....the stock settings might be a bit to low ...youll have to make it richer ....i live in canada and even during the summer , stock settings are to lean for me ..i run my 3.3 HSN at about 4 .1/2 turns out during the summer ...and around 5 out during the winter .....stock is 4

ok, thanks guys, one more question, could i make a roller like at the e-check place to put the truck on and drive it on because i dont have a big open lot to go in? something like 2 sets of rollers one for the front and one 4 the rear
