T maxx 3.3 4907 big bore shocks

I am planning on replacing the stock shocks but I want to know if anyone has tried the big bores made by Rc dampers. They are anodized blue with threaded bodies. How do these compare to the Traxxas big bores?

I had a buddy that bought a set and they were cheap for a reason. The one he got were pretty leaky and the shafts bent easy. He ended up going back to the stock shocks until he got a set of Traxxas Big Bores. This was a couple years ago...maybe they are better now but I would spend the extra money for the Traxxas. They are not prefect either. The stock springs are not the greatest....too soft. RCRaven makes good dual rate springs for them though.
