RC Driving Style
My friend has 2.5 T-maxx and he is having problems with it. 1st he was just driving it (long after brake in) and he was jamming it one the brakes to gas trying to weelie and i told his not to but it was too late and he strip a spur. so I thought "ok no problem", but thats when the problems began. first time we started it it was ideling and he gave it like 1/4 throt. and it just rev kida high and just gruk and woulden't go then the 2nd time it did't idel smoothly and he gave it 1/4 throt and it rev REALLY high and I thought he was gonna throw a rod. but it didn't and we haven't tried sence:eek:

One the thing you can check the reverse. I have noticed that sometimes if you click from foward to reverse too fast the tranny gets stuck in neutral. Switch to reverse, give it a rev, then switch it back.

try what maxx said. Make sure that your mesh is ok after installing the new spur. Otherwise you might have a issue with the internal clutch... Let us know hell have him sign up also lil man. X

we already installed the spur and it was fine and still it just revs even when we shift from forward to back and i'll try to get him regesterd here soon

My 2.5 stripped a spur on initiall break in and come to find out the motor mount was broken in 3 pieces and when I contacted about Traxxas about it they pretty much told me tuff luck and live with it. I replaced the mount with my own cash and set the mesh and havent had a problem since, but this last weekend I upgraded to a robinson metal 70t spur.

I saw a guy do the EXACT same thing
We went as far as opening the tranny.

He too replaced the spur gear. BUT he left out the pegs!!! =devil
put the pegs back into the spur and it too will go Zoom Zoom
