Hey guys, this is my first post so hello all. So I got this t maxx about 3 weeks ago and it's been nothing but headaches. I bought it used and out about 200$ into it. I mean it only required about 70$ to get it running right but anyways I finally got it running and next thing I know it just takes off. It's happened when the car gets about 20-30 feet away from the remote control. It just takes off full throttle and I can't stop it. I changed all the batteries and still it happens. Please help, I just wanna get it running and finally get it working right. Thank you

If you're still using the TQ3 AM radio or any radio for that matter, I recommend upgrading to something like this. A cheap yet effective upgrade. :mustache:

And while you're at it, upgrading your batteries to something like this will give you longer run time and better response from your servos.

Do you think it's only the receiver or could it be the brain?

The TX/RX is the "brain", the best upgrade you can do is ditch the AM TX/RX for a 2.4ghz unit like NitroTrout linked to.

I'm sure that will fix your problem but just to be sure, you should add a throttle return spring. Its cheap and simple insurance.
What kind of servos are you using?

Just the stock ones. I just ordered a new steering servo the traxxas 2075 because the one I have, 2055 is poop.
