Its my first used nitro truck and I'm a complete rookie. T-Maxx .15pro.

Long story short.

Bought it on E-Bay. It starts fine but jumps into reverse. Tightened the shift linkage and now it pushes in for Reverse and pulls out for Drive ( ? correct ? )
Still haven't re-started it as I noticed the throttle/brake linkage seems to be iffy.

When I pull the trigger on my TQ3 the servo pushes on the carbs throttle arm (and hits the motor) and pulls on the brake - when I push on the TQ3's trigger it releases the brake and pulls back on the throttle.

Remember... rookie... seen it run for 10 seconds...dying to take it for a rip.

I've worked on several of my own 1:1 cars and logic tells me that buddy slapped it together backwards and didn't bother to test it - hope I'm wrong.

thanks to anyone with answers.

That sounds like you need to rev. your throttle sevro. When you pull you trigger it needs to open your carb. push need to apply brakes. It just sounds like somone rev. some of the remotes servos

Yes. I believe that's the case.

So I was about to swap the linkage to opposite sides but realised that I haven't even tried it with it running and that I'm just working on logic not experience. Pull the trigger = open throttle + release brake. So whats the smart way to reverse the servo? Reverse polarity or swap the linkage around.
I don't want to dig myself into a hole.

thanks

Isn't there a reverse or normal switch for the first two channels on the remote itself??? I believe it is as easy as flipping a switch.

Hold On! You got it.

Didn't realize what those little switches did on the trnsmitter. Flipped them around a bit and what do ya know! Sometimes the answer is a lot easier if you don't think too much.

Thanks for the fix.
