I'm kinda new to the rc world. I've had my t-maxx for around year and a half two years. it has the 2.5 2 spd.

i just got it out of storage for summer, put it all back together, starts up idles fine. drives around ok, now when I'm going kinda slow or down a hill, or pick it up while it idles it starts to take off like a rocket.

and my bigger concern, i think they are related. but i cannot give it full throttle or give it a lot of throttle right out of the gate. other wise it stalls dies.

I'm guessing this is a air gas problem. i dont really see blue smoke like i normally did last year, until i give it full gas, it throws smoke, takes off then dies.

there is a screw on the intake for idle I'm guessing, but this does not let me adjust gas. i think it may be getting flooded with gas, or i could be completely wrong and it being lean.
let me know what you guys think. i can take i video and upload it to make it easier to diagnose

thanks for your help guys!

I think it may be running way too lean. try to richen up the needles a bit.. 1/8 turn at a time and see what it does

could you give a shout of where those fuckers are located?

two little allen heads under the idle screw????

No they are the 2 flat head screws one is on the side of the carb slide and the other is the big flat head screw on top surrounded by a brass collar. Look up the TMaxx manual online.

understood, 3 of them in total, idle, low, and high speed screws. high speed adjusted. running better now.

i still have the jumpy problem, sitting at idle, it jump forward, i read i can adjust shift points, but that about all. and i dont want to adjust the shift point
