T-Max 2.5 2nd gear, tuning, and rev problem

Ok, so first off, I'm not new to these little cars, but am new to the forum.

I have a Traxxas 2.5 in a Tmax and have been trying to tune it in. I have a few problems:

1. If i slam on the gas, it goes like 1/8 throttle, and wont go faster

2. I need help tuning it, what are good needle settings for it? It is 75 degrees outside, and I'm in SD.

3. When i pick it up off the ground and rev it, it goes up to the top rev of 1st gear, and wont shift over. I loosened the screw in the gear box, but no luck...

Tranny help !PLEASE READ!

i have a 2.5 tmax with the black tranny. I Just tor the whole thing down to the bone, soaked it in cleaner, washed it, dried it, and reassembled it. The only problem is, i can't get into 2nd gear. WTF??? The truck may not be revving high enough to swap gears. I haven't run the truck in a LONG time, and need help.

The tuning is most likely the cause, but i can't seem to get it right. I CAN adjust the timing in which the truck switches gears, but it hasn't helped me out...
