just an idea. i wonder if i can find a truck head to put on my o.s. 40 airplane engine and put that beast on my t-maxx without much trouble. I've seen a few 3.3 to o.s. conversions but none as big as a 40. any body got any input on this idea ? thanks

Not without much trouble, then after all the troubles you would be disappointed in the performance.
A decent Nitro engine has approx 300000 rpms, top rpms for the os 40 is approx 9000 rpms. Cool idea, just not practical.

Didn't New Era make an engine mount for that conversion some time ago. I seem to remember seeing it done before.

alright. thanks. those are exactly the kind of things i was wondering about.

not to mention the custom shroud you would need to protect the prop!

I'm pretty sure the o.s. 40 i have is a 2 stroke. could be wrong though. what about putting i cooling head on it like the tmaxx engines have ?
