ok so while i was out bashing today i ended up smashing into a cable box at WOT. i broke the lower arm and instead of buying another cheapy one i wont to buy a full metal set. thats not my question but if anyone has any suggestions :yes: anyway. i was thinking that the stock plastic shocks wont look good at all. which do you recommend. i was looking at the integy piggyback but i heard dome bad things about them......suggestions???

that will be worst then plastic because of the bending and there more expensive to replace but RPM nylon A-arms are the best way to go

oh and for the shocks get the losi lst2 shocks and the coversion kit

yeap the big bore set will be easier than the conversion and may function better. Definitely look hard at the RPM arms. Best investment I ever made besides the winning lotto ticket. I wouldn't put aluminum a-arms on anything that I would ever drive, just on a shelf queen. If you want something metallic, check and see of flex-tek makes anything for the Savage.

aluminum arms are great for touring cars and UE made some strong SOBs for the maxx, not just shelf queens.

will the .25 savage arms fit the newer savage? I've never broke an arm on either of my savages but i hear alot of guys complain of it with the newer savages. i think the newer ones were made to be alittle lighter and sacrificed strength for less weight, idk just a thaught. RPM makes some great stuff and i have used them on some maxxs but the savages are rolling stockers and probably always will.

Thats just my opinion but the stock shocks can take a hell of a beating...just my :2cents:

I also agree with this. I have been running stock shocks on my SS ever since I got it years ago, never broke one. I use the stock arms too, and only broke one in all the years I have had the truck.

I would also recommend staying away from aluminum arms for anything other than a shelf queen. Go with RPM or stick with stock.

I'd rather have 2 shock shafts on either side of the arm than one large one (stockers versus LST2 conv.). Just seems more durable to me.

hahahahahahahaha no:):)

let me ask how u know their not? and is it rerally worth over $200 on 8 shocks be serious think about it $200 on shocks or an an LRP .28 engine witch would u pick? or even on extra parts. and its not like I'm saying it because of the $$$ I'm saying because of what you can get in place of that over spending that much money on shocks. so tell me what ud think is a better deal 8 big bore shocks for over $200 or an LRP . 28 or the K 4.6? :deadhorse
