RC Driving Style
i was out bashing my maxx last weekend and broke the upper a-arm, bent a shock, lost a skidplate, and tore off half the bumper. i pretty much did that to have an excuse to get better suspension parts. any suggestions on what i should go with?
 
For the arms go with RPM. For the skid plate go with RC Solutions Spring Steel and as a bonus, you will no longer need bumpers.
 
RPM a-arms and knuckles. UE shocks, and as Rob said, RCS spring steel skids. Theres also lunsford Ti. turnbuckles and hingepins, Ti pillow balls, GA 7075 bulkheads, and Fastlane shock towers. Take your pic.
 
those rpm a-arms are nylon. is that stuff strong? i was looking into getting alluminum ones cause of the looks and the sheer fact that there metal. whats the difference?
 
you DO NOT want aluminum arms uless you're building a shelf queen.....the RPM arms are the toughest ones you can get...you want the arms to give rather than stay stiff and break other parts when you crash....you want aluminum bulks RPM arms & Knuckles and OFNA supershocks or traxxas big bore RCS Skids....IMO those ar ethe first upgrades and CVDs too....
 
RPM's stuff is guaranteed for life. If you break one for any reason, they will replace if for free. You can't beat that.

As Plaid said, don't go with aluminun. If you happen to bend one, it is done.
 
the only rpm a-arms i could find only fit the older version of the maxx. do they make them for the newer one?
 
I might have a set to sell ya if you're interested....give me a few days I'm moving to a new place this week and everything is packed up right now....PM if your interested...the sets are blue
