RC Driving Style
Okay on monday i will be recieving a brand new, never had a drop of fuel through it, G-27 engine from a warhead. The guy I'm getting it from bought the warhead and then bought a os30vg and is just giving me the engine. My only question is what do i need to make it fit in my savage since its a short shaft?
 
Since it's a short shaft, you have three options.

1.) Replace the crankshaft (the most expensive yet easiest fix)

2.) Use a clutch setup from the Warhead (Probably not the best route)

3.) Use a clutch nut from the Warhead (Cheapest)

Of the three, I'd go with option #1.
 
Sell it. I have yet to hear one good thing about that engine.
The dyno hp performance of it is horrid as well

I had that same exact engine in my raze and never had a problem with it. The pull start broke all the time and after 3 pull starters I just bought a rotostarter for it and never had a problem one. Would always start right up after just a second of turing as long as it was tuned. it held a tune well and was always real strong. But I'm thinking I might sell it anyways just to get an engine that has an sg shaft.
 
Well i just got the engine and it is brand new. The engine still has the cover over the head of it. It's a short shaft but i have a cluch nut that is on it and now just waiting for a new spur and it will be break in. Going to do the haeat cycle. I will post up results of the thing after break in.
