hey guys, i have my sights on buy a supermaxx suspension kit. i was wondering what is better? the supermaxx Widetrack suspension, or the supermaxx EXT suspension. i want to do some jumping and racing. i have a XTM 24.7 engine which is more than big enough to move the aluminum around a track. any suggestions or help would be great.

thankz
bryan

Yeah, use RPM instead of aluminum A-Arms. While Aluminum is strong er than plastic if you plan on doing some jumping it's not a matter of whether the aluminum bends but when and how you're going to straighten it when it does bend.

i had just went and bent my aluminum body post back today. i had taken a torch and heated it up and bent them back. it works perfect.

bryan

Yeah that's a part that really does not need to be perfectly straight. Take it from the person that gave new meaning to bent aluminum skid plates you'll never get the a-arms straight enough to prevent undue wear and tear on your drive train.

But, it's your money, not mine, so buy whatever your account can handle.

lol, so i take it u have had aluminum skids on ur truck. i have an aluminum front skid and a aluminum center skid so my truck dont bend around and strip gears. yeah i aint too into my front one tho. all it does is well nothing. it also looks ugly as hell. i am going to get a new one tho. yea i know that the body posts aint got to be straight but i am almost positive that i do not do as much bashing as u do. i dont have anybody to do it with so i am usually just on the street. unless i feel like going out to the track and go racing.

ya, we are 2 different people that like 2 different ways. anywayz thankz for what info u gave me.

p.s i am running the rpm a-arms right now, they are kool, but i still have the stock width ones.

is bashing like a demolition derby?!?!?! that sounds fun!

bashing is pretty much where u go and have a good ole' fun time jumping and bashing ur trucks with ur friends. (breaking things also is a part of bashing)

bryan

bashing is way cool...until it comes time to fix it...then its just alot of fun. up and running and jumping again. sky, el piratate and supermaxx thanks :worship:

np man, just have fun and get as much air as u can. break a few things once in a while too u know to keep ur mechanical skills to a good level.

Supermaxx, You'll be very pleased with your RPM arms, i sure was!!!! I had my arms (original maxx width) for over a year without a single break (even from head on collitions with the curb) i've had no problems. Now i upgraded to new widemaxx RPM arms and it's SO MUCH better. Its even more adjustable than the previous arms. A highly reccomended product.

yes, i know that rpm is really good. i have had my same a-arms for over 2 years. i have had many crashes with them and nothing has happend.

I've got the widetrac and I like it. Just can't run the hightest amt. of travel due to CVD's jumping out. This is w/ MIP's. I'm guessing UE would be about same.

While you're upgrading the susp. go on and do the shocks too!!

The stockers (if u r still using em) need heavier oil.

yes, i have upgraded my shocks. i have the integy piggyback shocks with trinity blue springs and 70w shock oil. they are the best.
