WHaddup guys,

I've had my eyes on this offering from UE for a while now. The regular price is high (damn strong alluminum though) but they've got it on sale for $179 down from $269.00 and it's hard to resist. The RPM A-Arms are definitley the way to go and RPM's general servie is nothing less then stellar...but. I love racing my Maxx on and offroad and the stock center of gravity (height) is way to much for Road racing. The beauty of this UE offering is it's adjustability.....three positions to be exact.

I can't stand allot of the "alluminzed" Maxx's that I've seen over the years where it's for looks more then performance. I realize that it's possible that I could still bend the Alluming arms from UE but I haven't had any bad accidents since adding the OFNA Micro failsafe combined with the "spring mod". I'm willing to take the risk of bending an expensive arm to have a three heigh position maxx.

I'm running the befffy Ass RPM Axle Carriers/Steering knuckles with the beefy oversized bearings. I was wondering if these will workwell with the UE A-arms as I'm assuming they will?? I have no desire to get UE's expensive metal Knuckles.

I'll probably get this after X-mas unless the sale ends soon and I'm also probably gonna end up getting the UE RacerX shocks too....damn this truck is getting expensive..hehe. I'll also be adding the new servo saver steering system from RPM after X-mas to complement my new Ultra Torque Metal geared digi servo.

UE is really expensive stuff, and the RPM arms have that gaurantee for life so its not a hard decision for me. aluminum looks great but not so awsome looking when is bent up around a mailbox post...
theres alos that proline kit...
personally id never get aluminum in the a arms.. to risky for breaks
the way i drive it seems that i either break everything in that area of the truck or nothing.

honnestly I've not seen any bent supermaxx arms ever. they shear hinge pins, pilow balls, or snap cheap AL bulkheads that have a lot of open webbing in them before the arms bend. the widertrac suspension is compatible with stock knuckles or the RPM ones so you will be fine there. I say go for it.

Hey guys,

I'm totally with ya Bashmaster, I love the RPM A-ARms and they put the stock arms to shame and then some. I'd love it if RPM made an adjustable setup like the UE set. I'm also getting RPM's new ball bearing Servo Sarver/Steering system.

Yes, UE makes great stuff but it is overpriced as hell. I wouldn't spend $269 but $179.00 is hard to resist. It's still not cheap but it comes with ton of chit and I can sell the Ti Hingepins and Turnbuckles as I already have them from Lundsford. Yep, the alluminum looks bad ass but performance is always first in my book. Actually, the UE arms are probably the same weight or less weight then the RPM arms I'm currently running as UE claims their metal arms to only be "3 grams heavier then stock".

Peace and thanks

sixvi6-camaro- he said it all, i have never yet it see and bent supermaxx a-arm. and trust me i own that same suspension, i have had some nasty crashes to where the a-arm of hingpin doest break or bend, but it rips it out of the bulkhead! i got mine for $170 off of ebay about 7months ago and i love it, it is alot nicer to me than RPM because they got so many more adjusting spots, now dont get me wrong RPM is good, but i like UE better.

yea rpm really should make an ultra adjustable set of arms with the shocktowers too, out of the same stuff they make their arms of right now.
i guess alumium is good to, but when your 14 w/o a job, 40 bucks for a set of awsome plastic arms with lifetime replacement.... can't beat that, but only cuz i dont have a ton of mulah to drop into this truck

lol, i have had my truck since i was 10, i am 15 right now, i have never had a job, and i have over 2g's in my truck.LOL i am not rich either, i just set my goal for somethign and i go for it,

bryan

UE supermaxx widetrack suspension
XTM .21 conversion kit
XTM 24.7 engine
MIP cvd's
Dynamite cvd's
Mulcher tires, Weld 6 rims
FOC
cold air intake
temp gauge
5 cell battery pack
rotostart
OFNA 9.5 shocks
powerline diff cases, full kippster gears
RRP gear
dynamite aluminum steering knuckles,

nice list i say, but more will be coming soon

bryan

yea its a nice list.

hows that roto start work? my friend got one but hasnt had a chance to use it yet.

works good, the only problem is trying to get it through the back shocktower and everything to get it to the starter. i have no bumpers so it is easier, but if u have bumpers it might be a problem
