Is this a real functioning practical item?

I'm familiar with turbo's/ sc's on cars/trucks, but not on a nitro truck.

What is the overall opinion of the s/c kit for the revo?

Please, forget about it while you can, and never revisit the subject again.

COnsider it done.
I'm learning, I am not able to find all of the answers to my questions easily via "search" so i'd rather ask and see the feedback.

I want to know about shocks. I notice people recommend the gtr upgrade. Now the shock bodies are stronger etc, do I simply re-use the springs that are currently on the truck? Is this the strongest shock to go with? Bashing is it's main purpose.

Hey, i'm learning, no need to rub it in.
I didn't see it practical and hadn't heard about it before from anyone at the hobby shop, so I asked.
os .21v motor goes in tomorrow thanks to this forum.

The GTR shock is really good shock. It is a bit sturdier than the stock but isn't really an necessary upgrade for bashing although that is what I do and have them installed.

Are there stiffer springs?
or is pressure rating based on the oil in the shocks?

They mean the search feature at the top right hand side of the page. Type supercharger into it, or whatever else you need, and you will find hundreds of posts on stupidchargers. No one was trying to put you down, but the forced induction kits (supercharger, nitrous, etc....) are one of the most brought up topics on the site, and it kinda gets annoying. :D

There are stiffer springs available from Traxxas. The heavier oil in the shocks affects the rebound rate.

Makes a lot of sense to me, I am on quite a few forums and each forum has it's "troll" of a topic. I didn't see how the s/c could even be practical, I haven't found/heard of the nitrous/turbo set ups yet. So far I like this site, I don't see any spam and the answers seem legit. New OS motor gets picked up today thanks to this site!:first_place:

Start a post about break in procedure if your not familiar with new engines. The O.S. will treat you awesome if you break it in correctly.

The motor has 6 tanks through it, and I am still leaning it out a bit. So far so good, simply amazing what a motor swap will do.

Is it even worth to try and sell the factory motor? It has maybe 15 tanks of fuel through it and an aftermarket pipe to go with it.

I haven't heard of cold/warm weather motors before. I live in Dallas,tx so it goes from 20-110 degrees. Even if I take a hairdryer to the motor and warm it up, when is it not ideal to drive the OS motor outside temp wise?

After it goes below 50 i park it it just plays hell on an engine. There just not like a 1:1 engine.:D

Cool, i'll keep that in mind. I browsed through the sticky, lots of good tips! I will need to track down a heat gun, i'm stepping into a new level of game it sounds like going with this motor, exciting!
