Sup guys,

I saw a link the other day for a company that makes a "Supercharger" for the 2.5. I can't seem to find the sight again but I though it was RD Racing??

Is anyone here running a Supercharged on their T-maxx?? If so does is make a difference in power that justifies the cost (around $189.00 if I remember correctly). If you are running a supercharger on your T-maxx, shortened motor life is obvious (just like on any boosted combustion engine) but I'd imagine that the motor would run ALLOT FREAKING HOTTER?? THe 2.5 runs hot enough as it is and I can't even imagine that you be able to run more then one tank of full (if that) without letting the motor cool down for 20+ minutes.

TIA

PEace

If you are going to lay out that kind of coin for a supercharger to apply to the TRAXXAS 2.5, you might as well just buy a better engine. Just my opinion mind you.

Sky is very right, if i would u and would really want to put more power on your truck get a different engine. i have heard alot of things about the superchargers. so good but most bad. for the most part they say that they wasted there money becuase it really doesn't help that small of an engine work any better or much more power. and it always would over heat the engine you would think. but i am not positive on the supercharger. do what ever you want too do becuase it aint my truck or any other persons in rcnt.

Supercharger

One of the Members on one of the Forum sites I Admin has seen a supercharged TRX 2.5 in action.
He told us that on ashpalt it sent the front wheels skywards when changing from 1st to 2nd gear and the tires were holwing too.

I guess a supercharged T-MAXX would be quite a handful.

The kit isn't cheap at all..

Whaddup gents,

I was more curious if anyone on this forum was running one then anything (not really interested myself). I've been searching around and it seems pretty gay to me to run one. You'd probably want to change the piston and sleeve ever 1/2-1 gallon of gas too:ha: :ha: I guess if you where some rich dude with tons of money to burn and wanted the bragging rights.

SkyMaxx and SuperMaxx97 - I'm with yooz guys on the motor conversion. I'd rather spend the money on the drivetrain and a killer Pico .26 etc to have a (almost) bullet proff bigbore 2.5 killer!

I'll stick to my "Naturally aspirated" Maxx for now....lol. Well, until Mazda makes a small rotory engine for RC cars!

Peace

Sup Silent - I actually think the thing is pretty focking ugly myself...lol. And it looks like it weighs a ton.

Ha that idiot decided to hookup a fan to his filter, but he removed the foam part so its just freeflowing air. His engine died soon after running it...I wonder how!!!:hehe:

Eeew!

Man.. that home brewed fan induction setup sucks...
If you undertake a modification like that, at least do a half-decent job on it.
Anyway, so it died a premature death... quite an undignified death as it had that conical eyesore attached to it
