I think its a great Idea for the under powered Traxxas .15, but I personally would not port an OS engine. In my opinion the reason the OS engines are better then a stock .15 is the fact that its ported for performance already. So porting it would probably not give you the gains like porting an engine like the Traxxas .15.

It sure does. Seems the trx .15 pro was kind of when the MT community was in its infancy.

Now that they noticed everyone was swapping 'em out for bigger/better motors they made the 2.5 right (with good porting). Of course any add on engine to be popular is going to have to have agressive porting as well. (what sets them apart).

That's kind of why I am partial to XTM's engines. They depend on the afermarket for sales.

dangit man, that is pretty sweet. have u dynoed that 15? I'm just wondering what it can pull . i thought the 1st 15's where duds?

Really no need to Dyno this powerplant, once it was broken in and tuned it is an animal. Once this engine goes I probably will just go OS. When it goes I will just have the attitude that it was fun while it lasted. The guy that ported it fell of the face of the internet. I don't know if I was lucky or not but I certainly got my $$$ worth.

if you can find someone good at porting, i would like to have my nitro star 15 ported, that would be cool. my rush would pull some rpm's then!
