aloe is good stuff. my mom always keeps a few around the house. by the end of summer I've all but picked them dead.

yea, aloe works good for the back and all... but when I have that stuff on my shoulders I can't stand it, i hate the smell and nearly barfed from to much of it... just my 2 cents lol.

Jeese Ratzo.. That sucks, I bet that is extremely painful. When I am in the sun for a while and I feel the sun pounding on my shoulders, i just hold my hands on top on them so they dont get burnt, then I find shade. My skin is fairly dark, so I guess that keeps me from needing sun lotion often.

Can we say red neck! lol dman dude that looks painful man! Man would you get fried in Texas.

You also mean to tell me you couldn't find a few honeys to rub ya down

I thought ed offered already.....I mean he's the pole dancin...mermaid huntin.....big pimpin admin I know but I think he's sweet on some of the guys here.... :D

what the fiddlesticks is wrong with you.... didnt some one tell you about the dangers of the sun. Keep some sunblock in your car jackass.

Hope you feel better.....

sLY

What a bunch of sissies, lol. You aint had a sunburn till ya had a good ol fashioned dose of South Florida Sun Poisoning! Plaid is right though, use the aloe plant leaves, just remember to cut it open first, those spines can be a real bitch, lol. That poop grows wild down here, if ya need some I can mail ya some Ratzo, might be too late by the time you get it though.

Yeah I got one of those myself a few weeks back, I was weeding the garden . . . sunscreened and all but the back of my shirt got hiked up, wound up with a plumber's butt burn. Walked around the house with my pants hiked down and the top of my red ass hanging out like some aging homeboy wannabe.

Was going to post a pic but it's just too much. :D You'd all go blind.

Not much consolation but backs and arms are almost bearable compared to a burn on your lwer-back/top of your ass, the skin turned to an alligator-like crust and every time I sat down it stabbed itself . . .arg . . .

Aloe will help, but it's no cure, only time. Two or three days and you should be able to at least move around. :(

Wow Ratzo! I feel really bad about that. Thanks a bunch for helping, you are a true "Team" member, a fun guy, and a good friend. You were helping in the pits on Sunday while another Team member was out playing golf. You certainly earned your Team sticker.

I wore SPF40 on my arms, shoulders and neck and I did not burn. I would like to continue to race this year with the new car I am building but it will be tough to do if some other racers from the forum do not show up to race and help in the pits. 710baby was there but he was very busy helping a lot of other people. I did pit for him during one of the qualifiers. The 1/8th scale guys and my wife were willing to help on Saturday and you helped on Sunday but I cannot rely on that every time. I have to say that everyone at the track was very nice and willing to help out. I did not have any issues with anyone.

Thanks again and I hope you feel better soon. I hope to see you at the track again. I will bring the SPF40 with me next time.

Thanks for the help to some of you, and the ribbing from the others.
I do have an aloe plant just for this reason.
For the day I have a brain fart and roast myself.
Ross, my pleasure, and thanks for sharing the sunblock.

Ratzo my son who is 6 came in the other day looking like that, He was out running through the sprinkler, I felt so bad for the little guy. The next day he had blisters everywhere, so he used a box of bandaids on his shoulder lol. Well needless to say we make sure all of the kids wear sunblock now. I feel for you man, This might sound crazy but Goop the hand cleaner works awesome at cooling burns, I accidently touched my arm on a hot header on a 67 Elcamino I had, and I used that and it really helped with the pain.

LMAO dude that's just a diluted form of aloe sap.....get teh leaf and you can actually sleep....sticky so wear a clean t-shirt over it long sleeve if you have to but you will be able to work and everything as long as you keep putting it on....
Actually no it's not, it's Shea butter and some other poop. But like it said it's a spray, it mists on and you don't have to rub anything in or touch what hurts.
