Can anyone recommend a pipe for my stock Savage? I made a list of what I have seen.
Hot Bodies- cheap and I don't know about the performance.
RB products- 063 pipe good low and mid range.
086 pipe good mid to high range.
Two piece $50.00- good price
One piece $100.00- is it really worth it.

RD Logics- I don't know much about these pipes.
Ritter pipes-Also I don't have much info on these.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated even if your pipe is not on my list. Thanks.

Greetings and welome to RCNT. Since you are from Buffalo, I'll recommend you get in touch with another member on the site from Buffalo. His username is Christian. He's one of the admins here.

As for the pipe, I'm certain that he'd recommend taking a look at a pipe by THS. I'd give you my opinion, but I'm still running the stock pipe on mine...and have no complaints.

You might want to try out the search function. I know there are quite a few threads that address this topic. Just food for thought.

086 pipe is what i have on my picco and love it.but when it is done ths is what i'll try next.also had it on my stocker and was much improvement over stock pipe.

it was $40.00 and polished could not pass it up also this was one of the first upgrades that was out at the time.it will give the 21 more mid and top. as for the ths chris will have to speak for it.

I'm looking for more low to mid. What about the 063 pipe? I don't need a higher top end. I want to get out of the gate and just have a quicker response.

go with a smaller clutch bell and the 086 or ths this will give you both to a extent.what bell are you using?

You'll get a more noticeable bit of performance by changing the gearing. Go with a smaller clutch bell (stock is 14T) and you'll see it jump off the line much more quickly than changing a pipe will give you. When going this route, you sacrifice some top end speed, but on short tracks...the off the line punch and driving skills often win the race.

The stock clutch bell. I just bought the truck about a month ago and I have a already run a gallon through it. I want to upgrade to the .26 Picco next summer. So I want to upgrade towards that.
I also don't want to have a slower top speed. Will the clutch bell cause it to have a lower top speed. I'm also new to R/C's and I'm trying to go headfirst and not look back. I really enjoy the forum talk and Bashing my truck. I'm trying to learn as much as I can.

Thanks for the info skymaxx. You just answered one of my questions.

No problem. That is what the forum is for. Enjoy.
