hey thats looking pretty good..sucks i have no engine..lol..still have my rustler vxl, just not as much fun as a revo. i am thinking about picking up an brushless truck like a savage flux or erevo..

looks like fun i better get something soon, tracks looking pretty good..

Its in Medford on Long Island Avenue basically behind the Gershow recycling but across the tracks.....Take LIE to Rt 112 South to Long Island avenue,make left and go about 1/2 mile......Youll see it on the left hand side.....The lot stretches from Long Island Ave to the LIE service road..

I started making a track at Heartland Industrial area in Deer Park also but the DEC shut me down quicker than a undercover narc busting money hungry convenience store clerks selling cigarettes to underage minors...

Just got my engine back. Traxxas rebuilt it as a courtesy, new bearings,crank, piston. carb looks new as well.

anybody still bashing here, or has it been shut down by the po po..lol

is it all dirt or is there a place where i could break in an engine?..

Were still running over in Medford.Good deal on getting the engine overhauled and back in action...It would be good to get some more cars out there to enhance the fun..Theres plenty of open blacktop to break it in on and plenty of dirt to have fun in aswell as a small excavated track and freestyle jump.....Its an old Long Island railroad parking lot about the size of the one at the Ronkonkoma station that stretches from the Long Island expressway service road to Long Island avenue and the entrances are blocked off from traffic

when do you guys usually run? and whats the easiest way into the area?..

just take 112 S to LI ave mk left and just go 1/2 mile? will i see a trail to walk in or something?

Yes...The entrance and driveway has dirt mounds in front......I park in front of the dirt mound in the entranceway and walk in.The dirt and track are by the sump near the front center part ......... its only about a footballfields length walk to it and the place under the tree where I set up.The best way would be to go via Long Island Ave.....Youll see the huge sheet of tarmac as driving down and youll see the entranceway where I park.You can't miss it unless you're busy on a cellphone and doing 50.......Ill be there for a couple hours today.I'm trying to get my brother to go but he wants to go to splish splash.Right now I'm down to 2 trucks to run til Thursday or Friday ....This has been a bad week for me and its only mid month...stuff doesn't really start breaking til week 3 or 4.. ...My LHS guys[4] can't keep up with the replacement part demand from all the destruction I create.Even a couple didnt expect to see me so soon with a big list of repairs..lol

cool..actually got 7 tanks thru yesterday..broke it in and started to tune it..got it to shift into second and stay under 270..i quit while i was ahead. cleaned it up and called it a day..

maybe ill head out tomorrow or fri..before traffic starts up..

What would be luckier is if we can get some of these tightwad politicians to build us a quick and easy r/c car park made of just dirt .I've paid my fair share of repugnantly rising taxes for the last 25 years so I deserve some ammenities...Not one too fancy but atleast half of what they built for the BMXers and skateboarders.....What sux is the kids still use the storefronts and neighborhoods and the skate/bmx parks sit vacant. I feel its a gross waste of my tax dollars and should be allowed to use it as I see fit for my enjoyment......I tried to run my nitro truck on it and I caught mad hell with a threat of having my r/c impounded...My friend took his Baja 5t truck to a schools football field and the power of the truck did some damage to the field....The Baja was impounded and my friend given a desk appearance ticket to go to court ;- when he did he was fined and charged $2000 for damages to the field and his r/c truck that he had mad loot in was forfeitted to the county and sold at auction.....

Yes that is it although it looks overgrown and rundown now....In the center bottom along LIave just above the sump is where the track and dirtpiles are.The map view is not a very current one..You can see the way in on the shaded highlighted driveway on the map...before it started becoming overgrown with weeds and looked like the map I used to run my 135 mph methanol racing kart and pocketbikes there....I wish the lot was still runnable;- everythings just stored away in my basement wanting to let loose...

I've just recently acquired permission to use the excavation quarry in the Heartland Industrial area/DeerPark in the new leg being built......Theres no walking and its pretty cool with the different type 30-40ft piles to climb and a long stretch of asphalt for tuning....

I was there aswell as Medford yesterday bashing it up...Had the last few out of 4 trucks give up on me too right after getting some of the replacement parts I ordered for some of the other broken ones to get them out again just to break them again and another delivery today just in time to have atleast 2 ready to bash .....Yesterday I snapped the steering servo,bellcrank ,both bulkheads , damaged the skidplate and jambed the front differential gear slamming full throttle into a huge boulder that was disguised in the sand on the Little Maxx 4910 converted to 3.3;-the 4909 twin 3.3 engined Madd Maxx exploded the transmission to bits inside....I lost the .32 Force engine on the Mutilator when I bashed the truck so hard doing the longest full throttle fullspeed jump with it landing totally upside down into the back 4 ft high berm at the back of the track;- it broke the whole body off along with the airfilter;-the throttle servo jambed to almost 3/4 throttle sucking up so much sand into the engine it locked it up before I could run to it in time to save it...and yes I was using a heavy duty Ty-wrap...It broke the airfilter off at the union between the filter boss and snorkel mount from the force of the crash..so now I'm down to the ever trusty MGT and my Bigg Maxx with Sirio .27 is back in action with a new flywheel and clutch assembly that came today...Hopefully Monday or Tuesday ill have alot of the others back in action too...Let me know when you want to run and have a lil fun..I'm thinking about rolling over to Heartland quarry in the afternoon when the heat dies down a lil to get in an hour or two of bashing...

damn i am stuck working the weekend..trying to finish tomorrow..usually down to bash on the weekends, just this weekend happen to make a little money on a side job..trying to finish in the early afternoon..suuuuuucks working when the weather is perfect..not to mention truck is running perfect..going on 10 tanks now on same plug. only issue i am having is can't seem to get the idle right..seems little high..pinch test is 3-4 seconds and temps are a cool 240..can prob lean it out a little more. but was running out of time..the revo 3.3 is my only truck at the moment.have a rustler but its being sold on ebay. i am building and erevo and almost have all the pieces and batteries already..

dont know your schedule but sometime tomorrow i am supposed to get to ikea..maybe i can squeeze in a hour or 2 before or after i go..wheres this new spot? Heartland Industrial area/DeerPark in the new leg being built?

when do you usually take your trucks out? i will have some time all this week too..

The new spot can only be used on the weekends....Its on wilshire off rodeo....Just take wilshire to the end and youll see the layout of 30 and 40ft dirtpiles/rockpiles /sandpiles and gravelpiles right after Alcan Packaging Co...Youll also see a sign that says "No Trespassing"Violators will be Prosecuted"...Dont get scared and book away.....I talked with the foreman and the security guard..The security guard when hes in the booth gets a kick out of watching the trucks run and he even helped grab one for me a couple times and turn it upright when I was there today to burn almost a qt between 2 trucks....I park in the Gymnastics parking lot to set-up and walk across the street into the quarry..Theres parking along the side on the street too but I like parking in the parking lot.Theres another spot in the Industrial park by the entrance that can be used during the week but DEC says that I can't build any more huge berms due to the fact that the land isnt owned by me but theres two huge ones that are there right now with some makeshift plywood ramps with alot of flat open space to open the trucks up on.. .....I run my trucks whenever I'm basically bored or looking to take some agressions out and beat the balls off something thats easier to replace and cheaper to operate other than a motorcycle,dirtbike or racecar without getting pulled over , ticketed and impounded........I throw the trucks in my truck or car and look for spots that look good enough to catch mega air or climb mega heights and break them out for a session....At route 111 behind the Holiday Inn on the LIE service road eastbound theres another quarry I used to run dirtbikes at thats alot smaller now and still runnable with r/c cars but only on the weekends after 12 on saturday and all day sunday....
