So my T-maxx has been running like a champ for the past few weeks. Over the weekend I took it over to the park so I could open it up a little more, there's a good size field there. After about 15 mins it started getting really slow but reving pretty high...so I thought maybe I burned up the clutch. I walked home and pulled the engine and the clutch shoes were a little worn but not terrible...but I replaced them anyway. I checked the slipper while I had the engine out, it seemed to be just fine. So I put it back together and it fired right up as usual....but as soon as you give it some throttle it bogs and dies. I've noticed its smoking quite a bit more now, even at idle. Any ideas?

Make sure everything is spinning free and not binding, after that I would check for and air leak. If it has a plastic pipe make sure it's not blocked, I had the inside of one come apart and block the stinger before

Found it! I knew my tuning skills weren't THAT bad! It ran around 230 degrees, so not quite sure how it blew.

I wonder if the con rod split? The 3.3's had an issue with that for a while. Can you post some pics when you open it up? :)

I would either score a new one off eBay or do a trade with Traxxas, your going to spend almost as much rebuilding it. Sometimes you can find them new on eBay without the carb for a good price
