I was rippin' my 2.5 Maxx yesterday and the throttle linkage pivot over extended and the throttle stuck. No damage other than a rounded spur and the little ball-cup that hooks the link to the carb. I did a foc a few weeks back and switched from a 20t bell to an 18t. I figure this must have knocked 'er out of adjustment enough to cause the problem. I adjusted it but it seems a little to close to the point of over extending again. It's RIGHT there, but with the radio on and the trigger pulled, I couldn't move it to that point by hand. Seems ok, but I was wondering if there's any tricks to prevent this from ending my day again. I figure a spring and maybe not thread the ball cup on so far so I can back the linkage off a little more. Any ideas from the pros would be awesome. Thanks.

this happend to my t-maxx and my lhs guy told me to use a rubber band insted of a return spring and it worked out on mine
