I got a tmaxx 3.3. Having problems with it being stuck in reverse. When the tranny doesn't have reverse. Picked the tranny up off someone local n was fine when they ran it. So they say. Help?? I need to burn sum fn dirt up!!! Lol

Either the idle is too high or the servo isnt ooerating properly, the rod may also be off......check this first before tearing into the tranny, imo you should get an foc and be done with reverse all together

sounds like the diffs are upside down if it only goes in reverse ,flip the diffs over and you should be sweet

is it a grey tranny or black one??

Wow I missed that, lmao....he did say it doesn't have reverse,..in that case chickenman is right

Grey. N it was working fine before. With stock tranny then kept getting stuck in reverse. So I bought this used tranny off a guy with the forward only conversion n it ran reverse only. Just confused cuz it ran forward fine before any diff flipping. I'v checked clutch n stuff. Jus new on nitro. Thanks guys appreciate any help!

I would check for the obvious like checking your transmitter to see if you hit the switch for the third servo. All you would need to do is turn on your radio, turn on the receiver and then check to see which way the servo is thrown. Not sure which way it is but if you spin the spur gear by hand the truck should go forward.

There is no third switch on my controller for reverse. Switched to 2.3 ghz thanks for the tips

I spin the spit gear n it goes backwards

You need to flip the diffs for.some reason they have been put in upside down.
check the traxxas website they will have all the instructions you need, if you can take a pic of the front end looking down at the diff/bulkhead

there she is. An I do notice that the front diff is the opposite as the back.

thanks again

Both diffs are upside down...

You were running the old tranny in reverse unknowingly.

Looking from the front of the rig: The screw heads that hold the diff together should be.

Front diff should be on the right side. Rear diff on the left.

*fist pumps the air*
haha the amount of times I have taken out the diffs and put the in upside down is not funny ,worst one is when you put one in right and the other in upside down and are super pumped to finally run your truck and to only find you have to pull the down again....

Sweet thanks boys!! I have takin it all apart. I have a few new part I want to replace. An do a chassis swap. Cuz the gap different for the drive shafts on the front on the chassis is different from the newer model to the old. As I'm going to the older style chassis cuz I'm running the older grey style foc tranny. Going to giver her some tlc clean an lube up all diffs internals an all the goodies. I'll post some pics an vids once done. Thanks again! Chickenman242. Snook man.

Thanks a lot for the tips guys. Finally got her all back together an the problems was the diffs being upside down. Thanks again cheers!!
