I had the STS 30 in the savage and a bit in the Storm SUT.Having the STS28 as well, there is not much to look forward to in the top end of the 30. The 30 improves greatly in the lower RPMS. The STS is not much slower in that area. If anything I would get the 30 if it were going to be bashing and have that extra "UMPHH" for climbing. The price is not that great between the tow. EBAY has them for about 15-20 bucks difference.
 
So would you say its more of a torque/bottom end engine which is more what I'm looking for and how does it compare to say a collari 30/32!
 
Yes on the torque/bottom end. I have never owned or ran the Collari 30/32 enough to remember.
