Hello,

I am new to this forum. I have a Monster GT .21 version and I want to upgrade to a STS .28 with the rotoplate. I got a good deal on one. I am wondering what is involved in mounting it. Will the existing engine block work? existing exhaust manifold? throttle linkages etc?

Everything will work fine, some minor filing to the block might be needed just under and beside the engine mounts on the crank case, but only minor and may not be necessary, it's a great choice for a power plant and later you can always drop the .30DM in.

all you have to do is take off the clutch assembly/flywheel and mount it to your new engine. It will bolt up directly to the stock engine mount.

Then breakin and have FUN!

Here are the needle settings as reference:

LSN -- 4.5 turns
HSN -- 3 turns
Idle -- 0.5mm open

Just remember, break in isn't completed until you are able to feel just a little resistance at TDC with the glow plug removed. These engines take about a gallon to "break it in"
